About Mary Kehl: Mary was born on a dairy
farm in Western New York (WNY), the oldest of
seven children. She earned a BS in Animal
Husbandry at SUNY at Delhi and went on to
manage a dairy herd on a large WNY farm.
In the 1980’s Mary met and married Michael
(Mike) Kehl, settling in a home in the same area
where they both grew up. Mary gave birth to son,
Ryan, in 1986 and daughter, Jessie, in 1989,
combining motherhood with continued work in
the dairy industry. In 2008 Mary became an administrative assistant at a WNY wind
energy facility until her retirement in 2022.
In addition to competing in tractor pulls with Mike, Mary enjoys her horses,
traveling, snowmobiling, and gardening.
About Mike Kehl: Mike was born in a rural town in Western New York (WNY), the youngest of three children. He grew up working in his family’s lawn and garden
business, eventually becoming the company’s service manager.
In 1993, Mike accepted a position in his town’s highway department as an equipment
operator and later as a deputy superintendent. In 1999, he was elected to a four-year
term as the superintendent of highways. In 2003, he worked in the position of sales
manager for a large asphalt company until his retirement in 2024.
Along with supporting and promoting Mary, in her tractor pulls Mike enjoys
tinkering on projects in his shop, snowmobiling, landscaping, and ATV’s
Mike and Mary treasure time with their family---which has expanded to include a
terrific son-in-law, a wonderful daughter-in-law and four beautiful granddaughters.
